Cristian Albani

Bio

Cristian Albani (Cesena, 1996) is a singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer from Italy’s Adriatic coast who draws from various genres, blending dream-pop, Italian and foreign folk, post rock, baroque and indie pop, and synth wave.
Within his repertoire, Italian and English alternate depending on the expressive context, often coexisting in different versions of the same songs. By means of his soft tone and delicate performance style, Albani takes his listeners on an astral journey through dreamlike places and suspended atmospheres.
He spends two years in London (UK), where he studies pop composition and develops a singer-songwriter project aiming for an ethereal sound, drawing inspiration from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Bon Iver, Franco Battiato, and Niccolò Fabi. He then returns to Italy, where he releases his first tracks (“Archimede” in 2018 and “Desperate” in 2020) and earns a Conservatory Diploma in Applied Music in Bologna. Starting in 2021, he goes on to release new singles: “Memoria” (2021), “Giorni,” and “Euforia” (2022).
Starting in 2022, he takes the stage with his electric band and devotes himself to live shows and promotion. In addition to playing gigs and participating in music competitions and festivals, he resumes his studio work and production of new tracks.
In 2024, Albani returns with the single “Ponte,” a preview of his debut EP “Altrovunque”, released in the summer, featuring both previously released and unreleased versions of earlier singles. Meanwhile, he embarks on a promotional tour, opening for singer-songwriter Francesca Romana Perrotta and participating in several events organised by MEI (Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti), the biggest festival for independent music labels and artists existing in Italy. In October of the same year, “Elsewherever”, a novel English-language version of the EP, also becomes available.
